It's no fun to lounge on a dirty sofa although we all love being couch potatoes. As time passes, pet hair soda, crumbs, dirt, and oil from your hands and toes build up on your sofa and make it appear dingy. No worries. 5. Let the sofa dry. Use a towel to soak up any water on the couch surface. Allow the sofa air dry. When it's humid, you may want to set up a box fan pointed at the couch for speed drying. Water can cause cushions and fabric .
